I Love to Learn!
This past week we came across the box of "older" paperback books my sister gave to me that her boys no longer had use for. Inside the box I found a dryerase book and thought maybe Mila would have fun coloring. Needless to say, she LOVES it! I sat with her on my lap showing her all the fun things inside the book and later that afternoon she grabbed the book and pulled out her chair at the kitchen table. Of course this has to be supervised because I don't want marker on the walls, couch, doors.....you get the point. It has been great to use for entertainment while I cook dinner!

It's Monday...
Jeremy had to work on second shift tonight so Mila and I were on our own for dinner. This happened in the very short amount of time it took me to rinse my plate and put it in the dishwasher. I guess she didn't like her dinner without Daddy!

Mila's First Hair Cut!
Mila was sporting a really BAD mullet, with all her length going to the back and still notta in front so I decided it was time for a cut. I felt pretty confident about doing it myself and didn't do half bad but we weren't able to get any pics because Jeremy was busy entertaining her to keep her in her chair. We tried to put her in the booster but the back of the chair came up too high. I think next time I will leave it to my stylist!
For a before shot...you can see the previous posts with the "wings"

And it wouldn't be complete without the ornery CHEESE face...
Friends and Family and Other Random Things
Get ready...it's a loooong one!
Mila loves it when people come over for visits! A few weeks ago my second oldest sister came over with her family for a dinner and visit. Mila loves hanging out with all her cousins and they love to carry her all over the place!
And lastly, Mila's shoe obsession has grown. She now is trying to walk around in Jeremy's shoes. She of course doesn't want any help and falls all over the place but she thinks it's fun!

Morgan and Mila
"Uncle Rudy" and his girlfriend Andrea came up from Monticello for a visit two Saturday's ago. Mila misses Uncle Rudy so much and just lights up when he walks in the door! We used to see him every Thursday when we lived in Maroa...on pizza night! He's the fun guy that "flys" her all around the house!

Jeremy's cousin Brandon was also in town for the holiday weekend from RI. This was Mila's first time meeting Brandon and he thought he was pretty funny once she warmed up to him. Unfortunatly, I forgot to get out the camera!
When we haven't had visitors, we've been busy doing art projects. Mila LOVES to finger paint and she's created a few more masterpieces! We also made her some of the classic flour, water, salt playdough and laughed the first time she licked it! YUCK! She also tries to feed it to the dog to see if he will eat it (and he won't either!). I really hope she loves creating as much as I do!
Our dog has this "habit" of laying on people's tummy if they lay on the floor. Mila thinks it is hilarious and will purposly lay down in front of him inviting him to lay on her. Once he does she just pats his head and giggles.

(sorry it's so grainy...the flash was off)
WHEW! I need to keep up with posting!

Who doesn't love to...
sit in a drawer! Yes, I allowed our daughter to do this on MANY occasions. So many times, in fact, that the drawer is now broken. But ya know what...she had fun! That's all that really matters some days! Drawer rails can be replaced.

Early Trick or Treating
Mila was so lucky to go trick or treating at a few special places last Thursday! She got to go visit Grandma Camille at the doctor's office and had a ball! She was very shy at first but took no time to open up and accept all the goodies from the office staff, nurses, and midwives! She was eating up all the attention!!!
Too bad Mila was looking but this is the only pic we got!
After visiting Grandma, we went to visit Aunt Ali and all the other accountants! Mila was once again pretty excited about the new place and all the new faces! She really enjoyed the water fountain and climbing all the stairs!

Happy Halloween
It was fantastic being close to the family for Halloween this year! The whole crew got together and went trick or treating near our hometown. I was amazed at the number of kids that were out and about! Mila and I had to cut things a little short and leave early because it was so cold!

18 Month Shoot
Mila and I took advantage of the beautiful weather yesterday to shoot a few pics for 18 months. I was able to get a few good pics but she wouldn't smile or pay attention to the camera for anything! She was too interested in checking out the leaves! Such a tomboy! Guess we'll head out to see if we can get that smile another time!
My FAVORITE!
A face that we see all too often! :)

18 Months Old
At the beginning of the month Mila went for her 18-month well-baby check-up. Here are her stats:
HEIGHT - 31.5 inches (50%tile)
WEIGHT - 20lbs. 8oz (10-25%tile)
HEAD - 18.25 inches (75-90%tile)
Mila is starting to jabber more and more and saying several words that we can actually comprehend. She has mastered all her body parts and we are starting to learn colors. She knows blue already and loves to say "bue, bue, bue!" It is so fun watching her learn so many new things! Her favorite place to be is OUTSIDE! She runs to the door and says either "walk" or "shoe" when she wants to go out. We snapped a few photos last week of her playing outside running (and trying to keep her out of the woods!) I think we have a little explorer on our hands!
