August/September Randoms

Here's a slew of pics from the past two months:

Can't forget the cheese face

Cuddling with her babies under one of the baby toys we've gotten out

Playing on the TV box, making her baby "tumble"

Mila wanted to be swaddled when I was going through some of the old baby stuff

Loves her "chocolate toast"  AKA Nutella

Enjoying the water table in the beautiful weather!

And playing with the hose in her undies...good thing we have a private backyard!

Wynnik Visit

The last week of August some of our very dear friends came to visit from S. Carolina.  We met this couple while we lived in Decatur and Jeremy and I both worked with Mike.  Amy and I became best of friends from the first time we met.  We ended up getting pregnant about 3 months apart with our first, she with twins and me with Mila.  Sadly, Mike was transferred to N. Carolina in the middle of our pregnancies.  We drove down to Raliegh when Mila was about 3 months old and the twins were 6 months old but we hadn't seen them since!  Mike was later transferred to S. Carolina and was traveling to Peoria for training over the past several months.  We got to see him but no Amy and the twins.  This past month, Amy decided to tag along and stay with us the entire week!  It was a blast having the whole family stay with us...and THREE 2-year olds in the house!!  The kids has so much fun playing and Mila really missed her new friends once they left.  I loved being able to spend some quality time with an amazing friend and we hope to get down to visit them once our next little one is born.

Marigold Festival Parade

Grandma Theresa and Aunt Danielle invited us to attend the Marigold Festival parade last weekend.  This was Mila's very first parade.  She loved running for candy, seeing Aunt Danielle on a float, listening to the bands play, and seeing the tumblers from CITT (where she takes classes).  We really lucked out with fantastic weather and I have a feeling we will be going to a few more parades this fall!

Haircut

This past week Mila had her first professional hair cut.  I took her to the same stylist that has been doing my own hair since I was 12!  Mila did great sitting in the chair and really enjoyed getting "rained" on by the squirt bottle!

Circus

Grandma Camille invited the entire family to a circus in Mason City a few weeks ago.  Mila and all her cousins had so much fun watching the lions and tigers and all the other crazy acts.  Mila's favorites were a hullahoop girl and the bigs cats.
