Ten Months

Another month has flown by and our little peanut is now TEN months old. It is so hard for me to believe that in two more months we will be celebrating her first birthday! Mila grew up quite a bit this month. She is pulling herself to a stand, cruising all along furniture, crawling at the speed of light up on her knees, clapping her hands, climbing stairs, clicking her tounge, and expanding her diet of finger foods. Our biggest accomplishment this month was learning how to go to sleep without me nursing her down for naps and at night. This is giving me faith that we can begin the weaning process once she turns one and have things go a little more smooth. I was REALLY scared about how it was going to work but I think she will surprise me! Now we just really need to work on the sippy cup skills because she refuses to take anything from a bottle.

This is a cute little video from a few nights ago when Mila was crawling around with Sophie her giraffe that squeaks. This toy used to drive the dog crazy and now he just lays there....we've come a LONG way!

Nine Month Pics

Flashback

Several girls I know are having babies or just have given birth.  It has me longing for the teeny-tiny baby to snuggle with again.  I know Mila is only 9 months old but I really miss the days where she would just snuggle in my arms all day and sleep on my chest.  Now she is busy playing with all her toys, cruising along furniture, and kicks her legs to get down when I'm holding her.  I went back and looked at some old pictures and here are some of my favorites...enjoy!

Nine Months Old!

Last Wednesday, December 30th, our little peanut turned NINE months old!  I know I say this every month, but it is really starting to set in how fast time is going by!  Some days feel like they are never-ending, as do the nights when Mila decides to wake up every two hours to see mommy, but I would never change it for the world because someday soon she will be telling me that she is a big girl and doesn't need lovin's from mommy.

We went to her well-baby visit today and she has confirmed what we thought...she is growing like crazy!  Her stats are as follows:

Height - 27.75 inches    50-75%
Weight - 17lbs 8 oz     90%
Head - 18 inches     90%

She is busy busy busy these days.  Mila LOVES anything electronic (remotes, cordless phones, laptops) and will do just about anything to get them in her hands.  Her favorite game right now is pulling everything out of any container she can find...including her toys, book, and cabinets!  She is pulling herself up to a standing position and is learning just how hard the wood floors are in the house.  I'm starting to wish we had a lot more carpet!!  She continues to pull herself army style arcoss the wood but is starting to crawl conventional style in her room (which has carpet).  We've started on finger foods last week and she is doing great!  She really enjoys feeding herself and even though Jeremy and I are terrified she will choke, we are starting to move beyond puffs.
