In the past two weeks Mila has gone from a "baby" to a true toddler! It all started with a face dive out of her crib and the very next day we converted her crib into the toddler bed. The transition has been anything but easy and I've spent a few early mornings on the floor with her and in her toddler bed a few early mornings...NOT comfy but I'm willing to do anything at this point to just get a few hours of sleep! We also dropped her morning nap (I know, took us long enough huh?!) in hopes that she would be extra sleepy at night! Well, after a cramped morning waking up in the toddler bed we decided yesterday to just convert her bed to the full sized bed so I could at least be comfortable sleeping! She slept much better last night and I didn't have to go in there until almost 5am! Success....for now! Today she is sleeping soundly for her afternoon nap and I am hoping we are taking a giant step in the right direction!
Last week she also informed me one morning she didn't want her diaper anymore! So I decided we would just try the potty training thing for a day because I didn't want her to be overwhelmed with her new bed AND the potty! Well, she stayed dry all day so we continued. She has not had an accident yet and she is even waking up dry in the morning and after naps! YAHOO! At least that was easy!!
So we've gone from a crib sleeping, diaper wearing baby to a full sized bed, undies wearing toddler!!!
